Answering Questions From Your Children

Your 2016 years earning plan: STEP -BY-STEP

You know what a joy children can be if you have children of your own, as they are often even more fun, more beautiful, and more exciting than you ever imagined they would be; of course you also know, with those sweet children of your own, that they can be a handful at times - and one of the areas above all others where they can end up being a handful is in the questions they ask you. Regardless of whether the question is something about how the world works or something more complicated, such as how Santa Claus sucks in his belly enough to fit down the chimney, or such as that question of all questions, "Where do babies come from," it will be beneficial for you to know a few important things for answering the questions that your little ones come up with.

When your child asks you a question that takes you off guard, one of the immediate reactions can be to simply make something up, or to tell a slight fib that will make the question go away - but even though you will never know exactly what your child will ask, you should know that the best approach is to always answer honestly, when you can!

Of course, it is also important for you to know "when you can" answer honestly; even though you will not want to tell your child a non-truth, there will be times when your child is asking a question they will not understand the answer to, or that they are not quite ready to hear the answer to, and if this is the case, your best bet is to (firstly) recognize that this is one such situation, and (secondly) skirt around the issue without telling them that they are "not old enough," and without telling them a non-truth!

And realize that your child asking you a question and receiving an answer is not necessarily the end of the issue, as they may also go to your significant other with the same question - so make sure your significant other is aware, and make sure they know the answer you gave!

Keep Your Pets Free From Fleas

Your 2016 years earning plan: STEP -BY-STEP

Pets can be a wonderful addition to a home, but the problems pets can present sometimes make it feel as though they are just not worth it. Fleas is one of the biggest of these problems that your pets can present you with. Fleas are small insects that sometimes make their home on your pet's body, laying eggs and even leaving the pet's body to live in your house. You certainly know what a nuisance fleas can be if you have ever dealt with them before! Here are three ways for you to keep your pets flea-free.

If you keep your pets indoors, you will find that this is the easiest way to keep fleas off them. Of course, if the pet in question is a dog, this does not work very well. But if you want to prevent your cat from getting fleas, for instance, you can keep them from going outside. Another important thing to remember if you are keeping indoor pets is that outdoor pets can carry fleas, so you want to keep the two from coming in contact!

If it is either not viable or not practical to keep your pet in doors, there are a couple other ways to keep fleas off them. One way to keep fleas off your pet is to make it wear a flea collar around its neck. Maybe your pet will not be especially fond of this new jewelry at first, but it will not take them long to get used to it. One problem with flea collars, however, is that lots of people find that they do not actually work all that well.

Instead of flea collars, you can buy products that can be placed on your pet's body to keep fleas from coming. These flea preventatives usually come in small tubes, the contents of which are put between your pet's shoulder blades. The price of such products can be anywhere from $2 or $3 to as high as $50 or $60. You might think at first that it is silly to spend as much as $60 on flea prevention, but the problem of actually dealing with fleas can make the price well worth it! One product that works extremely well is Frontline, which is a higher-priced option that is nevertheless well worth the price.

Your 2016 years earning plan: STEP -BY-STEP

You should have no problem accomplishing your task if you are hanging something such as a simple, framed picture on your wall, as you need only to nail a small brad into the wall and hang the picture properly, but many people make the mistake of approaching the task of hanging a heavy picture as if it is exactly as simple, and they often end up botching the job, hurting their walls, and hurting the picture itself!

When it comes to hanging a heavy picture, the first thing you need to do is decide the general location of where the picture will go; this is usually quite easy, as you will typically have an idea of what room you want a particular picture to go in, and even of what wall you plan to use for the picture - and once you have narrowed down your search to the areas you have in mind, you can use a stud finder to figure out which places, among these options, will work.

Once you have accomplished the task of figuring out exactly the places where it is possible to hang the picture, you will need to decide exactly where you want to hang it; have someone hold the picture in place as you step back to get a feel for it in each location, and even consider taking a picture of what it looks like in each spot - comparing and examining these pictures on your computer - before you make your final decision.

And after you have figured out exactly where you will hang it, make sure you are meticulous in accomplishing the final step of actually hanging it; use a level to make sure the picture will be straight, and use a tape measure to ensure that you are spacing the holes apart properly, as this extra care will keep you from ending up with unnecessary holes in your walls!

You may think that hanging a heavy picture is a simple task - but if you approach it as such, you just may end up regretting the damage you have done!
