Could the Sony Cybershot DSC-HX5V be the Camera for You?

The truth about making money from home

Check out the Sony Cybershot DSC-HX5V!  This camera is Sony's answer to Nikon and Canon cameras at the same price point. You can purchase a Sony Cybershot at the reasonable price of $220. Users and professionals have both given this camera two thumbs up so the HX5V is well worth taking a closer look at.

Both Sony's DSLR camera and their camcorders have a G lens and the HX5V also has this lens in common. This point and shoot camera offers a 10X optical zoom (this is about a 25mm equivalent).  This is not too bad for a point and shoot camera. The Cybershot offers both a 10.2 megapixel capability along with a backside illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor.  Ultimately you will find the backlit sensor will take better low light pictures over all. To assist this camera in taking spectacular features, the Cybershot also has bother optical and digital image stabilization.

You have a lot of manual control with this camera. If you like setting your own ISO, you will enjoy the range this camera provides between 125 to 1600. You can also choose from many different white balance settings to help control your picture quality.

Bright days are always an issue for cameras with an LCD display.  The Cybershot tries hard to deal with this on their 3 inch display by making it an antireflective surface. This screen is a very nice size to help you compose your photographs and also to view any movies you may wish to create. The camera has a dedicated video capture button, which is convenient when you want to catch a special moment on video without having to go through a ton of menus. The videos are recorded at 1080i and are saved onto the camera in a MP4 format. One really nice feature of the Cybershot is it offers HDMI outputs so you can plug your camera directly into a television for viewing of media.

Do you like panoramic pictures?  The Cybershot has created a sweep panoramic option that takes breathtaking pictures. If you like sharing exactly where your photograph was taken, you can tag your photos using the cameras built in GPS function.

This is a nice camera for the price and very competitive with other cameras that are at the same price. This camera has even more features then listed in this short review making it jam packed for the price. Both users and professional reivews have given this camera great reviews.
