As we move into summer, it can be very annoying to go to your car and find it is so hot you can barely hold the wheel! Whenever this happens, after all, you end up either sitting there for 10 minutes until the air conditioning cools things off, or you end up looking silly - putting a T-shirt over your steering wheel just so you can touch it! But actually, you can go with a much better approach than either of these two by simply picking up a few tips that will help to keep your car a whole lot cooler during the summer. Of course, most of these tips are simple - but if you remember to do them, the combined effects will leave you with a much cooler car. The most obvious of these tips, of course, is to park your car in the shade whenever this is possible. After all, it is the sun - more than the heat outside - that causes your car to get so hot. And if you are parking somewhere where you will be for a while, do not worry so much about having your car in the shade when you park as having your car in a place where it will be in the shade when you return! Another reason why your car gets so hot in the summertime is because your car captures the heat, acting like a box that traps it in. You should always leave your windows cracked just a little bit whenever parking it on a hot day. Not only will this prevent your car from heating up so much, but it will also protect your windshield from cracking due to excessive heat built up inside your car. And finally - if you live in a place where the summer weather gets really bad, or if you have a really dark car - you should get window shades. One great option for your windshield - one that will not cost you a lot of money, and will do a lot to keep your car cool - is the Basix Magic Jumbo Sunshade. When you remember to follow these simple tips, you will save money on air conditioning - and more importantly, you will save yourself a lot of discomfort!

Food is one of the biggest (and most difficult) considerations when it comes to a backpacking trip, as you want to bring food that will give you the energy you need, but that will not be so heavy to carry around with you that it depletes your energy in the process! There are certain foods that you need to always take with you whenever you hit the trails - and the good news is that these foods are not only lightweight and full of energy, but are inexpensive as well! Trail mix: Trail mix is called 'trail mix' for a reason; it is a staple of the backpacker's diet, as the nuts, seeds, and dried fruit and berries you can usually find in trail mix will be essential for providing you with energy while you are on the trail. Another great addition to your trail mix is chocolate (especially dark chocolate) - especially if you will be backpacking in an area that is not too terribly hot - and a great approach to take with trail mix is to visit a store such as Whole Foods, where you can buy all the "ingredients" separately, and to mix your trail mix on your own, catering to your taste preferences. Granola: Oats are another great way to get energy in a lightweight package; you can get your oats from granola (which often includes such additional, beneficial ingredients as raisins or nuts), or you can get your oats from granola bars. Another great source of granola-type oats is oat-based energy bars. Cereal: A baggie (or several baggies) of dried cereal are great to take with you on the trail, as this provides you with nutritional food that is easy to carry and easy to snack on; try Cheerios or Cracklin' Oat Bran. With these foods packed in your backpack, you will be able to hit the trail and get the energy your body needs while hiking, without having to add a ton of weight to your pack!

The idea of "building muscle" is one that certainly appeals to plenty of people - but at the same time, this does not necessarily mean that "a lot of people" end up reaching their goals in muscle building; if you are in a place where you have a desire to build muscle - and especially if you have found so far that it has been more difficult to make this happen than you imagined it would be - here are a few things to keep in mind to help you along this path. The first thing you are going to want to make sure you understand is that consistency in your weight lifting regimen - going on a regular basis, and doing a workout that is strategic and consistent - will help you a lot more than simply going to the gym and lifting as hard as you can every once in a while; worry less about "how much" you do when you go, and worry more about "how often" you are going. Another thing that is important to be aware of is the fact that knowledge is going to go a long way in weight lifting, as the right knowledge will help you to get the most out of your trips to the gym; take the time to learn about the ins and outs of weight lifting, and you will have a much easier time maximizing your efforts. And finally, you should recognize that lifestyle will be a big part of packing on muscle in the way you want to, as you cannot just eat whatever you want and live however you want and achieve the results you want to achieve; in addition to your trips to the gym, you need to eat right and get proper rest, as these two things will go a long way toward keeping your body in optimal condition. Achieving your "building muscle" goals can take a lot of work - but this work is worth it if you manage to achieve results; and when you follow these tips, "achieving results" is exactly what will happen for you!
Many people have a tendency to feel like they never quite have as much money as they need, and while this is true for most of the people who feel this way, it is also true that most of these people have a lot more money than they realize; the mistake that many of these people make is that they do not know how to make their money go further, but it is really quite easy to do so, as long as you know the right approaches to take. When it comes to making your money go further, it all boils down to what you spend your money on, which means that you will need to have your priorities set; this can be difficult at first, especially when you do not know what areas you can trim spending out of, but here are a few tips to keep in mind as you begin to stretch your money further. Food is the first place where you can start spending money, as many people spend far more money on food than they need to; although it might be convenient to eat dinner out instead of making food at home, or to go through the drive-through instead of packing a lunch, simply taking a little extra time to prepare your own food will save you huge amounts of money in the long run, freeing up this money for you to purchase or do something you actually want or enjoy. A lot of people purchase something that they think they want right when they see it, instead of waiting to make sure they really want it, and these impulse purchases cost them a lot of money; a great way to counter this is with the “2 day rule,” which calls for you to wait at least two days after you see something before you make the purchase. And even though it can be tough to start getting used to saving money, one of the big things that can help is having something big toward which you are saving; think of something – whether it is a vacation, a big-ticket item, or something else – that you wish you could purchase, then realize that every time you save money in these other areas, you are one step closer to making that purchase!

There are thousands of people who come up with great ideas each day that they will never act on or remember, because they fail to capture these ideas in any way; sometimes, these ideas are as simple as something that will help them out around the house or in their family, while others of these ideas are business or innovation ideas that would help the individual in question to make money down the road. It will be beneficial for you to have a method for capturing and recording ideas if you are an "ideas" person - and while the specifics of this approach will be different for every different person, here are a few ideas you can consider trying out yourself. Even if recording ideas in a notebook seems like a rather "old school" way to record ideas these days, it is a great way to keep track of everything that comes to mind; a notebook with your ideas in it will become more intimate and personal to you than a computer or phone full of ideas would, and you can simplify your approach to recording ideas in your notebook by separating your notebook into sections for each different type of idea. Of course, a computer is a great way for you to record your ideas if you feel more comfortable with a computer than with a notebook - and the great thing about storing things on a computer is that you can save different types of ideas in different documents, and you can easily search your computer to find anything you want. If you tend to be more "visual" than other people are, having a large whiteboard in your office for ideas can be hugely beneficial; on this whiteboard, you can keep track of the progress on all your ideas, and this will enable you to see your ideas written down in front of you all the time. When you begin to record your ideas as they come to you, you never know where this will lead, so scan these options and find the one that you feel fits best for you, then start to record your ideas in this manner and watch the effects this has!

If you are naturally an introverted person, you do not need to be told that it can sometimes be beneficial to be alone (in fact, you might need to be reminded that it is also beneficial to be around other people!), but if you are an outgoing extrovert, it is important that you also become aware of the benefits inherent in spending a little bit of time alone. Because of the magic of the "infromation age," people are always able to be connected to others; even when you are at home by yourself, you can talk on the phone to people, text people, send emails, and interact with your friends using such social networking sites as facebook and Twitter. In addition to these things, there is a great availability of television shows and movies that can distract people when they are alone, and as a result of all these things, it is rare indeed for most people to actually experience genuine silence. Silence provides an individual with their greatest opportunity for introspection and self-awareness, and not only do times of introspection and self-awareness lead an individual to be able to constantly improve their own self, but these times of silence (of introspection, of self-awareness) also enable a person to use their mind for unique, creative, individualistic thought. Many people do not know their own self as well as they should, because of this perpetual lack of silence in their lives, and because of this, they rarely create or pluck their way through thoughts that have any sort of depth or permanence. It is even important for extroverts to make room in their life every once in a while to simply be alone, enjoying the beauty of solitude and silence; when you put yourself in this position with regularity, you will start to see a change in your self-awareness, in your thought processes, and in your overall level of success!

If you have a Netflix account, you might be one of those people who absolutely loves Netflix, or you might be one of those people who wonders what on earth it is about Netflix that causes so many people to say they love it! If you fall into the first of these two categories, chances are pretty good that you are taking the right steps to make the most out of your Netflix account, but if you fall into the latter of these two categories, you are probably doing a few things incorrectly, which is putting you in a position where you do not enjoy Netflix quite as much as you should. One of the best things about Netflix (that is to say, one of the things about Netflix that those who love it enjoy the most) is that it does a great job of suggesting movies that the owner of each account will truly enjoy; if you do not rate your movies, however, Netflix will have no clue what to suggest to you – so make sure you rate every new movie you see, and even go back to rate every movie you have seen in the past! Another thing that can prevent you from getting as much out of Nettflix as you should is failing to use the Queue; make sure you not only set up the movies you want to see immediately, but also set up the movies you want to see down the road, as this will enable you to continue to send back movies and get new ones right away. And of course, one of the best features of all about Netflix is the “Instant Play” option; take advantage of all the movies that Netflix makes available through “Instant Play,” and you will have a lot more viewing options than you would otherwise have. You will get a lot more out of your Netflix account than you were getting out of it before when you take these steps – and you will finally understand what it is about Netflix that makes people love it so much!
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome impairs the lifestlyes of roughly one million US adults. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (commonly known as CFS) is largely described by its name, but it takes a bit more than this to diagnose CFS. You can use this handy guide to tell whether you might be suffereing from CFS if you have been unusually tired for reasons not related to lack of sleep or over-exertion. One of the first signs of CFS is that you might be feeling tired all the time, or fatigued all the time, with no reason that you can think of. Your regular activity levels would be decreased by this fatigue if you have CFS. You should begin to look for additional signs of CFS if this is the case. The following are among the additional signs of CFS: decreased levels of memory or concentration; muscle pain for no discernable reason; headaches that have increased in regularity or severity from what you are used to; a persistent and recurring soar throat; joint pain; and sleep that hardly refreshes you at all. If you find that a combination of these symptoms is persisting for around six months or longer, you should plan to see a physician so they can test you for CFS. CFS is defined and diagnosed in a variety of ways, and so, this diagnosis from a doctor is likely to come from process of elimination. If you visit a physician and they are unable to find any other causes for your symptoms, you just might be classified as having CFS. There are a lot of "cures" for CFS, but there is no cure that has worked consistently for all those afflicted by CFS. The severity of CFS comes into play here, as does the instigating factor. For instance, depression can be one of the causes of CFS, and this can be solved by taking antidepressants. Furthermore, such simple adjustments as dietary adjustments and regular exercise can help to combat CFS. If you discover that you have CFS yourself, you would be prudent to try and find a doctor who has dealt with CFS before. This disease and all its nuances can be better solved by a doctor who has experience dealing with CFS. Your best bet, if you have been excessively tired lately and cannot explain why, is to simply cross your fingers and hope that this problem disappears. If this does not work, you may have CFS, and you will want to get to work fighting it right away.

There will be a lot of things on your plate when you are running a fantasy football league, but while some leagues play for the pure fun and competition of fantasy football, most leagues play for money - where everyone puts in a certain amount, and the money is doled out as "prize money" at the end of the season - and if you are the head of a league in which money is at stake, managing this money properly is one of the biggest things you will need to make sure you do. Of course, the first step to managing money as the commissioner of your fantasy football league will be making sure everyone pays you at the beginning of the season; if all of you live in the same city, this should be easy, but if some of you live in different parts of the country, use a service such as Serve or PayPal to collect the money - and be strict about the fact that anyone who does not pay before the season will not be part of the league! Of course, considering the fact that money is at stake, there is a chance you will run into those rare instances in which two players collude with one another (for instance, if one person is having a horrible season, and they trade one of their best players for practically nothing, you must assume there is a chance they were compensated with actual money); if this is the case, you will want to have everyone in the league vote, and you will need to cancel the trade if more than half the members of the league agree that the trade was unfair. And while the hope is that you will not have to face such underhanded dealings, one responsibility you will face is knowing how you will divvy up the money at the end of the season; some leagues do a percentage of the money for the division winners, with another percentage for the champion, while others give all the money to the champion. No matter what your league decides to do, it will be absolutely vital that it is decided before the season begins, and that everyone is in agreement with the plan, as this will help the money-side of things run much more smoothly, and will make the other aspects of the season a lot more fun!

One of the best ways to get outside and enjoy nature - and also, one of the best ways to give your body a great workout - is to take a backpacking trip for a day or two, but while backpacking can be a lot of fun, it can also be a bit dangerous (for both yourself and the environment around you!) if you are not making sure to keep these important backpacking tips in mind. The daytime is the first area where you need to focus on "remembering" things, as this will likely be when you will be spending time hiking; because hiking is innately adventurous, a lot of people see a hike as an opportunity to "leave the beaten path" and explore, but when you are backpacking, remember that the path is there for a reason - stick to the path so that you do not get lost, and frequently pause to make mental markings of landmarks along the trail (and of course, you will also want to pause every once in a while to rest and to truly soak in your surroundings!). When you reach the nighttime portion of your backpacking adventure - that is, the "camping" portion - one of the most important things for you to remember is that you are not supposed to set up camp directly on or directly alongside the trail; make sure you are going off the trail a little ways to set up camp, and make sure you know exactly which direction the trail is in, and then, once you find a good spot, you can set up your tent and start your fire (making sure it is far enough away from the tent that cinders will not catch it on fire!), and enjoy your evening outdoors. And in the morning, you will want to make sure that your fire is completely out, and that you are not leaving anything behind that was not there before. You are saddling yourself with a responsibility to take care of all the beauty around you when you go backpacking, so be conscious of every bit of trash you are creating, and take the time to scan the area you used to ensure you are leaving it just as beautiful as you found it!

One thing that can be difficult when you are trying to plan a family vacation is the fact that it seems like there are so many different options and ideas, and it is tough to settle down with the option or idea that is "the right one." If you have been looking for a family vacation idea that will be fun for everyone (and after all, "fun for everyone" is about the best you can do, as it is nearly impossible to pick a vacation everyone "agrees" on!), one great idea is to rent a lake house - and if you have children who are grown, especially if they have families of their own now, this idea is great to an even greater extent! When you are choosing a lake house, the first thing you will want to do is make sure there will be enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably; the last thing you want is for people to be grumpy because they are not getting enough sleep, so it is better to spend a little bit of extra money and make sure everyone is accommodated! Another thing that you will want to make sure you pay attention to is that there are "things to do" at the lake - and this is key, as it is not much good to be at a lake if the water is too dirty to swim, if there are no boats for you to take out on the water, and if there are no areas for you to explore around the lake house itself. And finally, you should plan the trip so that it is "too short," which is something a lot of people do not think of; when a trip is "too short," you will leave everyone wishing they had more time together - instead of planning a trip that is too long and that makes everyone wish it was over! When it comes time to plan your next family vacation, keep the idea of a lake house in mind; you just might find that it is the perfect fit for you and yours!

As you're aging, are you noticing changes in your skin? As you mature, you'll probably notice some significant changes in your skin tone and health. Laugh lines, "elevens" between your eyes, those little creases on either side of your mouth--we all have them. You may also notice your skin becomes thinner, and less elastic. Don't get upset; be proactive and establish a new skin care routine perfect for aging skin. Be sure to wash morning and night with a very mild cleanser such as Cetaphil (or the generic formula of). If you happen to have adult-onset acne, be sure to stay away from the anti-acne programs aimed at younger skin (Proactive and the like). Try something mild and natural like Dermalogica's acne wash and gentle rice powder scrub which will exfoliate without irritating skin. Make sure to always, always, always use SPF 30 sunblock, and to freshly put on more before going out in the sun. Don't tan at all, ever. Don't do it, not even when on a tropical beach. Be the palest person on the beach; you’ll also be the person with the fewest wrinkles when you return to that beach in ten years. Use a hat, stay under the umbrella, and enjoy your beautiful skin. If you've suffered skin damage, use Dermalogica's Multi Vitamin Power capsules. When you crack open the little capsule, you'll discover a wonderful mixture of vitamins C, A, and E, which feels amazing on your face. Your face will be firmer, healthier, and glowing after regular use. If you don't like those fine lines around your eyes, start using iS Clinical Youth Eye Complex, which stimulates collegen production. Once you're using quality products, you'll find you only need to dab on a little to see vast improvements in your skin.
